About Me

My photo
I'm a wife, mom, grandmother and great grandmother. I try to be creative - sometimes it works, most times it doesn't. I'm my own worst critic! I'm self taught in a lot of my crafts, but have taken quilting classes and most recently a beginner's rug hooking class. I enjoy both crafts tremendously. I'd like to learn to be a better gardener.

Ok, I'm officially done!

I'm so tired of  winter!  The snow, the cold, the gloominess!  People here at work are crabby which is making me crabby and I usually have a really good disposition!  The skin around my fingernail cracked so it's making it painful to type, to quilt, to write, etc.  Sigh...  CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!!!!

My little grandson (7 months old) is crawling now and sitting up by himself.  He's got five older brothers and sisters so I guess he felt he needed to move to keep up with all of them!  They live in Kentucky which is about a 5 1/2 hour drive from us so we don't get to see them a lot.

Hope everyone else is having a good day/week!

  1. Not too long ago we were all looking forward to winter for a slower pace because it was too hot to hook , I guess the pace is too slow now and we're looking forward to spring.

The sun is still there, just playing at hiding behind the clouds for now. Hope that thoughts of warm sunny rays cheers you up.
It's snowing here and it's gray but I'm making a big pot of soup to share with my neighbor for a little cheer.

    Keep on smiling. JB

  2. Thanks Julia! I keep telling myself that we're on the downhill swing of winter. We really only have about six more weeks of really cold and snowy weather, then in March it starts to warm up a tad - very few frigid temps and of course we almost always get a really big snow storm St. Patrick's day, then little, by little, by little it starts warming up. Is that how it goes where you live?
